Regional Councils
There are eight Regional Councils of ACFE each with nine voluntary members who are appointed by the Minister for Skills and Workforce Participation.
The Regional Councils of ACFE provide:
- expertise and local knowledge about adult education needs
- advise the ACFE Board on regional priorities
- implement plans and policies that promote and support adult education provision.
- are responsible for recommending funding allocations to be made to ACE organisations in their regions in line with priorities and guidelines established by the ACFE Board.
Regional offices
The work of the Regional Councils is supported by ACFE staff in each of the eight regional offices. The regional offices support ACE providers and can provide advice on ACFE courses available in the region.
