Logos and branding

From 2007 the ACFE board launched a new style and look for its communications. In developing this new style, the ACFE Board aimed to reflect and engage its range of Stakeholders through clean, inviting and accessible design. The ACFE Logo is linked with the words ‘Adult Community and Further Education’

When to use the ACFE Logo
The provider Agreements with the ACFE Regional Council specifies that the logo should be applied ‘on all facilities and publications and promotional materials relating to activity funded by the Regional Council, including electronic material.’ This means that the logo should be applied to all materials generated in relation to ACFE funded activities such as Community Learning Partnerships, promotions, course guides, launches and events.

Where the Logo should appear on the page
The ACFE logo is to appear at the top of the cover page of a document to the right side of the document title. If it is used on printed material, advertisements and other promotional material, the logo can appear at the bottom of the page accordingly. For TV advertisements or videos, the logo can appear in the middle of the screen. Alternative placement may also be considered on banners used as media backdrops.

Size and clear space
The preferred size for the ACFE logo is 25 mm in width with the branding text below at 40mm in width. This can be flexible and applied accordingly to the size of the document ensuring at all times that the text is readable. Clear space is the minimum area surrounding the logo that is to remain free of any other graphic element, image, logo or text. It should also represent the minimum gap between the logo and the edge of the page. Please allow at least 10mm of clear space around the logo.

Using other Logos
Other logos can be used in conjunction with the ACFE logo where the organisations they represent are active contributors to the activity. If the ACFE logo is sharing space with other stakeholder or DPCD Logos, the ACFE logo should feature in the middle and be spaced evenly across the bottom of the page.

Should you require additional information with respect to the use of the ACFE logo please contact staff at your ACFE regional office.
